Default Can I enter/sort multiple data within cells of a column?

I would like to enter multiple data (i.e., codes: 2R3.1, 2W3.2) for cells
within a single column on an Excel spreadsheet-- for many rows. I then wish
Excel to list (sort?) all rows that contain a specified code. Is this
possible to do? Thanks.
