Can I enter/sort multiple data within cells of a column?
I would like to enter multiple data (i.e., codes: 2R3.1, 2W3.2) for cells
within a single column on an Excel spreadsheet-- for many rows. I then wish Excel to list (sort?) all rows that contain a specified code. Is this possible to do? Thanks. |

After you finish doing your data entry, you can select all the columns that
should be sorted (not just the single column with that data), then use Data|Sort and specify that column as the primary key. Then all the like data will be grouped together. You can just scroll up or down to see what you want. An alternative would be to select the entire range and then do: Data|Filter|Autofilter You can use the dropdown arrow in each header cell and choose the value you want to see -- or use Custom and give it the requirement that you want to see (something like: Begins with 2R).
