Use your backup file.
If you don't have a backup file this time, then I'm sure that you will do next time. [File/ Save As/ Tools/ General Options] If you are trying to produce a new file from an old one, it's wise to get into the habit of saving with the new name *before* you do any of the edits. -- David Biddulph "Stress" wrote in message ... If, by chance, you are on a network you may be able to recover an earlier
version of the file. You would need to talk to the IT people to see if it is possible. "Stress" wrote: I accidentally replace an latest excel file to an old file... Can I restore yesterday's file? Is there anywhere I can find that file again? :( Please Please help... Urgent! Thank u so much |

Hi
If you are using VISTA, you may be lucky. In Windows Explorer, right click on file PropertiesPrevious Version. Vista makes a copy of the file when a System restore point is created -- Regards Roger Govier "Stress" wrote in message ... I accidentally replace an latest excel file to an old file... It's too late now, but for next time, you could use a program like Jan Karel
Pieterse's AutoSafe add-in, which saves a copy of each workbook at a predefined interval. You can retrieve the archived file either from the AutoSafe directory, or from the recycle bin. This utility has saved my bacon more than a few times. http://jkp-ads.com - Jon ------- Jon Peltier, Microsoft Excel MVP Tutorials and Custom Solutions Peltier Technical Services, Inc. - http://PeltierTech.com _______ "Stress" wrote in message ...
