Default VLOOKUP help from yesterday's post

First of YOU GUYS ROCK!

the formula you gave me doesn't work though. I'm going to explain better
he

Sheet1
A B
Server12 What version? (that's what I need to plug in here for the matches
Server1 from sheet2)
Server9
Server2

Sheet 2
A B
Server1 Version9
Server2 Version10
Server3 Version12

I need a formulate that will look a cell A1 in sheet 2, find it's match in
Sheet1 COLUMN A. Then take the value in sheet 2 column B (that matches the
right server name) and places that value in column B on sheet 1.

Thanks,
Jess

Put this in b1 and drag down.

=VLOOKUP(A1,Sheet2!A$1:B$3,2,FALSE)

Note that there are no matches for 2 of the servers.
