In versions earlier than 2007 the limit is 1000 items will be shown. You can use a custom like "contains" or "equal to" etc. See Debra Dalglesih's site for other workarounds. http://www.contextures.on.ca/xlautofilter02.html#Limits Gord Dibben MS Excel MVP On Tue, 11 Dec 2007 09:01:01 -0800, Craig wrote: Hi I have a long list of over 12,000 individual company names...yet when I apply an autofilter to the list and click the down arrow besides company name, it only lists the first 1000 items so I cant scroll down and see all the companys in the drop down list Do you know why this is so? Got any ideas on how I can list all of the companys in the drop down list? thank you very much!! Craig |
