Hard Hyphens
Could someone tell me how to create a hard or required hyphen in Excel? I
don't want a hyphenated word to split but using Ctrl+Alt and typing the hyphen doesn't create a hard hyphen. Thank you!! |

Hard Hyphens
Perhaps you are confusing Excel with a word processing software. The
dash or minus works fine. Deeny B. wrote: Could someone tell me how to create a hard or required hyphen in Excel? I don't want a hyphenated word to split but using Ctrl+Alt and typing the hyphen doesn't create a hard hyphen. Thank you!! |

Hard Hyphens
Non-breaking hyphen is Char(173).
To enter x-ray, Type "x" Then, hold down <Alt, and type 0173, using the numbers from the num keypad, *not* the numbers under the function keys. Then continue with "ray". -- HTH, RD --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Please keep all correspondence within the NewsGroup, so all may benefit ! --------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Deeny B." <Deeny wrote in message ...
