select the data range.
Use Goto(Ctrl+G). select Special button. Select Blanks- OK. Enter the Formula to refer the top cell & Ctrl +enter to add the formulas to the selected cells. You can't do it and keep the pivottable.
But you can copy the data and paste values (in a new worksheet???), then do whatever you want. Debra Dalgleish explains how to fill those cells: http://contextures.com/xlDataEntry02.html pdek wrote: I have a pivot table that looks like this: State City Count MD Balto 123 Perry 99 PA York 111 Lanc 22 Harris 11 I would like the primary sort field to repeat the text on each row like this: State City Count MD Balto 123 MD Perry 99 PA York 111 PA Lanc 22 PA Harris 11 Can anyone help -- Dave Peterson |
