Default Inserting an interactive spreadsheet into a webpage

Hi,

I need to insert a small number of spreadsheet cells into a webpage.
The user could then input several of his own variables, and get
results based on my formulas.

Frontpage 2000 does this, but apparently any webpage user would also
need Excel or whatever on his end to make it work. (True??)

I need the thing to be usable by anyone.

Does anybody know how I can make this work? Maybe use Google's
spreadsheet? I'm not a programmer or a sophisticated html type, so i
need to keep this simple.

Thanks
