Problems emailing attachment from Excel
I am using Windows XP (SP2) and Outlook XP. When sending a email attachment
using File = send to= mail recipient , my email message immediately is returned. However, if I send the spreadsheet as an attachment by first creating a new email message and then attaching the Excel spreadsheet, the message goes through fine. I did notice that when attaching the message using File= send to, the following was displayed in my email message: The message is ready to be sent with the following file or link attachments: Documentation1.xls Note: To protect against computer viruses, e-mail programs may prevent sending or receiving certain types of file attachments. Check your e-mail security settings to determine how attachments are handled. |

The first to check is outlook. Go to tools/accounts and check if there
are any additional email accounts installed that you dont use anymore. When you send email via excel, it may get the first available email account of outlook, but when you send 'normally' through outlook, outlook could be setup to use by default a specific account that differs from the first available. www.exciter.gr Custom Excel Applications and Functions! It may be good idea to 'repair' office installation using 'detect and
repair' tool under 'help' menu on any office application. You should also consider re-installing office. I dont think that this problem is a setting in excel or outlook. www.exciter.gr Custom Excel Applications and Functions!
