In Excel 2007 (Microsoft Office Home & Student), I can create and open a file
with no problem, initially. The problem only occurs when you try and re-open the same, or any other Excel file. The program opens with a blank (light blue) screen with the Customize Status Bar (normally at the bottom of the screen) on the top, with no other visible toolbars. You cannot do anything else, other than close the program down. The only ways you can recall another Excel file is to either leave another Excel file open on the task bar (i.e. minimised) or re-boot the computer. Another way is to open a Word document and minimise it on the task bar, then you can open any Excel file. (Office Diagnostics indicate no problems). System : Hewlett-Packard M8180 which has Intel Core 2 Quad Processor Q6600, 2.4 GHz, 1066 MHz FSB, 8MB Cache, 3072MB RAM Memory, 500GB Hard Drive, and Windows Vista Home Premium. Protected by Norton 360 All-In-One-Security, with current Updates for Vista and Office. Anybody with any ideas what may be the problem? -- Looking forward to reading your replies. |
