Hi All,
When one of our users uses Excel 2007 to open 97-2003 documents he gets the following error occasionally - "Excel cannot open this document with the available resources, Choose less data or close other." The files are less than 1 MB in most cases and this only happens occasionally and once the error has happened the program freezes and then you can end the process and open the exact same document fine. This has been happening for 2 or 3 weeks now, once or twice a day. The PC is a decent spec and the CPU and RAM usage are very low before, during and after this error appears. I read an MS KB article that explained that this error happens when you try and open a 2003 document that has links to "relative cells" but some of these spreadsheets that get the error are just plain text with no formulas or links or anything. Nothing in the event logs other than "the application excel.exe hung" (no useful info) Tried patching the machine up to date with office and windows updates and have re-installed Office. Still no joy, any suggestions? Chris |
