Default Color & Formatting Loss

I hit my limit on 2003 of formatting and needed more space so I upgraded to
2007. I have very large spreadsheets that contain several different formulas
and colored cells. Now that I have upgraded to 2007 I noticed that some of
the colors that were standard in 2003 are not standard in 2007. Now I seem
to be having problems with cells changing from the old colors to some random
colors in 2007. I am now having issues with cells losing color all together
and also the format and formula associated with that cell. This is a huge
problem as the different colors represent different stages of production and
manhours are also associated with the formula in that cell. Anyone have any
information on what might be causing this issue?
