Default Loss of formatting

I've got a workbook that copies columns of data to different worksheets. On
one of the copies, the data is of the 'double' data type (ie a numeric with
decimal places). Every time it copies, it changes the data type in this
column to the date format.

Any ideas why this happens or how I can stop it??
