I need to save Excel files to a folder on the server that is Read/Write only,
not modify. This is not a problem with Word, but Excel creates a temp file as soon as you type a file name in the save as box. This temp file has nothing in it, but because it was created you cannot then save the original file as the file does not have modify options. We cannot open the modify option since we do not want saved files messed with. Does anyone know of a work around other than saving to a desktop or other device and transferring the file into the folder from there? |
