I have conditional formats in cells in worksheet A. When I refer to those
cells from WorksheetB, I want to reflect the formats they have in Worksheet A, in WorksheetB Any thoughts |

While you can't link formats, you can take the cells in A, copy them, and
paste/special/formats into B -- Gary''s Student - gsnu200739 "Michaeld" wrote: I have conditional formats in cells in worksheet A. When I refer to those cells from WorksheetB, I want to reflect the formats they have in Worksheet A, in WorksheetB Any thoughts |

Thanks very much for that, however I am using = rather than paste
e.g a1: Michael ( in italitcs) b1: =a1 ( doesn't bring over the format) and copy/ paste isnt appropriate Would appreciate any other ideas Cheers "Gary''s Student" wrote: While you can't link formats, you can take the cells in A, copy them, and paste/special/formats into B -- Gary''s Student - gsnu200739 "Michaeld" wrote: I have conditional formats in cells in worksheet A. I am sorry. In Excel, the link only brings over the value, not the format.
As far as I know, the only option is to copy the formats over by hand ( or VBA). -- Gary''s Student - gsnu200739 "Michaeld" wrote: Thanks very much for that, however I am using = rather than paste e.g a1: Michael ( in italitcs) b1: =a1 ( doesn't bring over the format) and copy/ paste isnt appropriate Would appreciate any other ideas Cheers "Gary''s Student" wrote: While you can't link formats, you can take the cells in A, copy them, and paste/special/formats into B -- Gary''s Student - gsnu200739 "Michaeld" wrote: I have conditional formats in cells in worksheet A.
