Default Excel 2003 Barcoding

Does this version have the capability to covert numbers and letters into a
scannable barcode? thanks.

Thanks, that's great but there's no information as to how to invoke the
barcode over a range of data. I think it's the font only they give you here.
Please let me know if I'm wrong.

Default Excel 2003 Barcoding

Yes, its just a font. You need to unzip the file, then copy it to the fonts
folder in C:\Windows\Fonts\.

To use it, type a number in a cell, copy down, then format the cell with
your new barcode font (called Free 3 of 9). You now have two cells, one with
the original number, the other with the same number formatted as a barcode.

Default Excel 2003 Barcoding

Went to reopen the file and the barcode disappeared. Proper formatting and
data "*ABC123*" in cell, but cannot get cell to populate with barcode. Even
tried to recreate barcode on orig. spreadsheet, but won't appear now.
