Thanks, that's great but there's no information as to how to invoke the

Yes, its just a font. You need to unzip the file, then copy it to the fonts
folder in C:\Windows\Fonts\. To use it, type a number in a cell, copy down, then format the cell with your new barcode font (called Free 3 of 9). You now have two cells, one with the original number, the other with the same number formatted as a barcode. Went to reopen the file and the barcode disappeared. Proper formatting and
data "*ABC123*" in cell, but cannot get cell to populate with barcode. Even tried to recreate barcode on orig. spreadsheet, but won't appear now. Interesting.
