Hello,
I am trying to copy a cell from a spreadsheet created in Excel 2003 and opened in Excel 2007. After copying that cell I am trying to paste the formula into a new Excel 2007 spreadsheet but I do not get the option to Paste Special Formula, it only pastes the value. Any input into what I may be doing wrong would be very helpful. Thanks in advance. |

What do you mean by "do not get the option"?
Are you saying that when you select paste special there is no formula option or do you mean you don't know how to paste special in 2007? If the latter it's in the home tab to the left, you can also right click in the cell where you want to paste it -- Regards, Peo Sjoblom wrote in message ups.com... Try this:
In source file, select cell with formula to copy; Use mouse to highlight all of the formula in the Formula Bar and use CTRL+C to copy VERY IMPORTANT: now press ESCAPE In target file: select cell for formula, and in Formula Bar use CTRL+V to paste best wishes -- Bernard V Liengme Microsoft Excel MVP www.stfx.ca/people/bliengme remove caps from email wrote in message ups.com... Make sure you open the workbooks in the same instance of xl2007.
Open the first anyway you want, but then use the office button to open the second (equivalent of File|Open in xl2003). wrote: Hello, I am trying to copy a cell from a spreadsheet created in Excel 2003 and opened in Excel 2007.
