Default Limited character display

I have 2 worksheets in separate workbooks that are basically identical. In
one I have text entries that display all my text (255). In the other the
thext has been truncated to 255 for display.
Why can't I get this limit removed??

You likely copied one sheet to the other. Excel truncates as you've seen.
Bug/oversight/whatever. Best bet would be to select the TEXT in the cell &
paste it to the other.
Maybe wait until Excel 2009!

Column width is limited to 255 characters. Do you have the cell format
alignment set to allow wrap?

Actually I did not copy the sheet specifically because I know it trucates. I
copied the text directly. It is all there it simply does not display and I
get ### with 256 characters.

I have the alignment set to wrap. The taxt is there but even with wrap I get
one line of ### to what ever the column width is set to. If I reduce the
content to 255 characters then I get normal wrapped text.

Try formatting the cell as General (or anything but Text).
