Default Excel 2003 -- Copying a formula to Paste Special into column cell

Trying to copy a cell to be able to paste that formula (=D10*D5) into
subsequent cells like this: Copy | Paste Special | Formula, however, what's
happening is that it's copying the total from that cell and bringing it all
the way down.

I remember this problem from a few or more years back and, as I recall, it's
a glitch between different versions of Excel, however, I can't recall the
"fix."

Am I in the right ballpark?

Thanks for any help. Florence

ToolsOptionsCalculation.

Make sure you are set to "Automatic"

Easier method of copying formulas is to just click on the fill handle(black lump
at right bottom corner of the cell) and drag down or across.
