Default Excel 2003 - Whacky Menu Bar

I need help to get my menu bar back. I opened and printed a file that
obviously had some sort of script in it and it appears to have changed my
default settings as the bar doesn't reappear when I reopen or reboot.

Unfortunately I have a crazy keyboard so even F11 doesn't restore everything.

Do I need to reinstall?

One way to set all your menu/toolbar customizations to the default is to
delete or rename your toolbar file (with Excel closed):

Under Windows XP:

C:\Documents and Settings\<user name\Application
Data\Microsoft\Excel\Excel11.xlb

Thank you very much - that worked.

Is there any way I can stop scripts doing this to me again in the future?

Not really. If a macro is allowed to run it can do lots of stuff you don't
like. A well behaved macro/application will restore your settings and menus
when it's done. Complain to the developer.
