Updating Links to a new spreadsheet
We are trying to update a spreadsheets links, which there are many, to a new
Source Workbook. The old Source workbook was called 2007, now the new Source workbook is called 2008. We have attempted a find and replace, but each time it asks us to go out and find the new workbook again to update the link. This spreadsheet has so many links it would take a very long time to point to the same workbook each time. Is there a faster/easier/better way to do this? Thanks! Trisha |

Updating Links to a new spreadsheet
Two ways to go at this:
With the workbook that needs links updated, choose Edit | Links and in the dialog choose Change Source and point to the renamed source workbook. You can get the same effect by opening the workbook that needs links changed in it and if you get the prompt to "Update Links?" choose YES at which time it'll tell you that it can't and give you an option to [Change Source] choose that and again point at the renamed source workbook.
