Default Updating Links

I have a master workbook containing job (other workbooks) summary
information. When I open the master it asks to update links ... I answer yes
.... for some of the linked workbooks ... Excel presents the file name on the
screen waiting for me to highlight and click "OK" but for others it seems to
do its link without screen request.

Questions: (1) I am not sure if the subsidiary files information is being
updated, (2) how can I make this more automatic so that I do not have to
highlight any subsidiary workbooks?
