Default Opens copy of workbook

Using 2003, on one file, when I open it, it also opens a copy. File names
shows as filename:1 and filename:2. When changes are made to one, changes
made to other. It is driving me nuts . . . . . . why is this happening????

Thanks!

It's not 2 copies of the file, but you've opened two windows in the one
workbook.

Close one window with the X *below* the red X in the top right-hand corner.
Then save the file so that it doesn't open the two windows when you next
open the file.

Default Opens copy of workbook

someone went to windowand selected New window
go to window.Arrange and delete one of the visible dupicates
save and reopen and the duplicate cope will be gone.
being able to have two windows of the same file can be very handy as when
you are comparing things on different sheets, but is definately a headache
when you don't expect it.
