For example, if the bookmark is in a Word document located in "C:\My Documents\Bookmarks.docx" and the bookmark name is "MyBookmark", the hyperlink in Excel should be:

   . Note that you need to use forward slashes (/) instead of backslashes (\) in the path, and you need to encode spaces as %20.
   
3. Check the security settings: If the Word or HTML document is located on a network drive or the internet, Excel may be blocking the hyperlink for security reasons. To check the security settings, go to the Excel Options menu, click Trust Center, and then click Trust Center Settings. Under the External Content section, make sure the "Enable all data connections" and "Enable automatic update for all workbook links" options are selected.
