Default More that 1 person editing at a time?

Is it possible to have more that one person editing an Excel database at the
same time? The database is on a shared network location, so that more than
one person can access it already, but when some one is doing some thing on
it, if you try to open the database up it states that it is only possible to
"read only" ideally I would like the database to accept mutiple users.
Any assistance that anyone offers would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

You need to share the workbook.
Tools-Share Workbook.

Before you share the workbook take note in Help about the features not available
with shared workbooks.

Quite a host of them.
