It's a property that some programs in Office keep track of--excel isn't one of
them. Charles Paquette wrote: In the properties dialog box of a Excel file, there is a field for the "Total Editing time" of the file but i find it is always blank. Is there a way to extract that information on to turn the field on? -- Dave Peterson |

Dave,
thanks for the quick reply! What i'm wondering now is why then does the field "Editing time" show up in the file properties dialog box? It must be there for a reason?!? Maybe MS is going to start to keep track of this property someday?
I don't have any insight why it appears there. Charles Paquette wrote: Dave, thanks for the quick reply! Main reason is because it is in MS Word;
a lot of the property fields are not updated by Excel. --- HTH, David McRitchie, Microsoft MVP - Excel [site changed Nov. 2001] My Excel Pages: http://www.mvps.org/dmcritchie/excel/excel.htm Search Page: http://www.mvps.org/dmcritchie/excel/search.htm "Dave Peterson" wrote ...
