Default I am trying to figure out how to plot a graph like given -(x 3)^2

I am kind of new to Excel but have to use it for my online pre calc class. I
am trying to figure out how to plot a graph of a line like -(x+3)^2+2 without
having other information for the rows or columns. Is it even possible? If so
how do I do that? I have to use office 2003 as well.

Produce a column of X values. Use a formula to calculate Y from X, & copy
this down to give a range of Y values. Plot the graph, as an XY chart.

When I was at school (a long time ago), we had to produce sketch
graphs of functions like this. You choose a range of values of x, say
from -3 to +3, and for each value of x you work out the corresponding
value of y. Nowadays you can get Excel to do the calculations for your
chosen values of x by entering a formula which models your function.
Then just select the x and y values and click the Chart Wizard
function and select XY as the graph type.

Hope this helps.
