why do some cells not lock?
I have a worksheet where most of the cells are locked. Users are able to
select only a few 'unlocked' cells to input data. 2 of the cells will not 'lock'. When you open the format for each of those cells, it shows that it is locked but after you protect the document and go to use it, these 2 cells are not locked and the user can change the data and erase the formula. Has anyone encountered this problem before and found any solution? |

I've never seen this with plain old normal cells. Any chance your cells are
merged? If so, you may want to unmerge those cells and make sure that each cell in the mergearea has the same protection (locked or unlocked), then remerge those cells. But this is just a guess.
