Default Importing from access to excel

I have a book that I had made for my employees. They are using spreadsheets
on their palm pilots. To make this info export to access, i had made a page
in the book that imports the ids and names of the clients. This way, the book
has the right ids when transfered back. I got the import to work very well in
excel, the only problem is, it only works from a specific location. I have
the database and the spreadsheets on the server, d:\ drive. If I try to
access them through a mapped drive, I get an error, disk or network error. If
I access them on the server, they work fine. Please help
