Default saving data type into a form

I have created a PDF form in Adove 7.0. It works fine until you want to save
it. The message says "You cannot save data typed into this form. Please
print your completed form if you would like a copy for your records"

How do I change this?? Please help!?!

Hi. This is not an Excel question; this is an Adobe Acrobat Reader question.
However, that's the way the Acrobat Reader works. If you want to save the
form WITH data, I think you need to own Acrobat (the full application), not
just the Reader. See www.adobe.com

Thanks Anne!! I know it's an Adobe question, but couldn't find that option.
Anyways, I own the full version and know that it works through there, but
anyone I would be sending this form to fill out would probably only have the
reader. It seems silly to be able to create forms, but you can't fill them
out without buying an expensive program. Any suggestions on the best way to
make a professional looking form that almost any company would be able to
utilize. (I know Word would work, but I don't like how it looks).

Thanks again!!!

Hm. I just want to clarify for anyone listening in that you certainly CAN
fill out an Adobe form using the Reader, you just can't SAVE it. Perhaps
newer versions of Acrobat/Reader allow it?
Anyway, why don't you like the look of Word forms? Perhaps we can work from
there. :)

I thought I remembered getting PDF files from other people where I could change
the form and save it. I always thought it was an option for the person creating
that PDF file.

But maybe I'm misremembering?????

(Nope. I've never created one of these forms myself.)
