I just discovered the 'amazing feature' of being able to convert entire
Excel documents to Web pages. ;-) Undoubtedly this will save me about a
hundred hours on a project I'm currently working on.

For the time being I have just one question though. When converting the
document all the formats I apply convert to the Web except the color of the
worksheet tabs.

Since the color of the tabs in my documents define groups or sections, it
would be nice to have this format carry through to the Web.

Any suggestions?

Also, if it can't be fixed during the initial conversion, can I edit it
after? Time consuming, yes, but better than doing the whole thing from
scratch.

I'm betting that even if you can edit the created file you won't want to -
generally the HTML generated by office apps is an absolute nightmare of
twisty little paths and little twisty paths. This is pretty much a WYSIWYG
situation. You might consider other visual indicators to identify groups and
sections, such as the manner in which you actually name the tabs, like

Grp1-Sheet1 | Grp1-Sheet2 | Section B-Sheet 44 ...etc

Keep in mind that you've only got 32 characters to use for sheet names.

Well don't get too used to the features, the same capabilities did not make
its way into the 2007 Excel or any other Office program for that matter.
