Select your data range then go to menu
Data Text to Columns Next Next under Column data format select Date DMY Finish Custom Format dd.mm.yy It will convert all text dates to real Excel dates "Gary" wrote: Help please. We've entered thousands of entries with the date format dd.mm.yy - i.e. 15.02.07 Excel doesn't recognise this format (the nearest would appear to be 15.2.07) and therefore won't allow us to customise a date range. We've tried changing one of the date formulas to match the above but still can't get it to work. Any idea? Please remember......not an IT expert so as simple as possible please. Thanks -- Gary |
