Default Excel Date Formats

try
1) going into format and changing the cell to date format
2) make surre the ' charracter is not at the beginning to the text. this
would force the data to Text, not date.
3) You can make gobal changes using in the edit menu - replace to fix the
problem once you determine the cause of the problem.

Help please. We've entered thousands of entries with the date format dd.mm.yy
- i.e. 15.02.07 Excel doesn't recognise this format (the nearest would
appear to be 15.2.07) and therefore won't allow us to customise a date range.
We've tried changing one of the date formulas to match the above but still
can't get it to work. Any idea? Please remember......not an IT expert so as
simple as possible please. Thanks
