I want to be able to copy data in a cell by dragging it to the cells below.
it autoincrements number unless I hold down the control key I want to turn off this can I How? -- David Lane |

Probably one of the simpliest is just put in the same number in the next
cell. Then highlight both cells. Then just copy (with the bottom "+") the range that you want. Excel then "calculates" that you want the same increment in all the cells (which is the same number), so you get what your after. |

Right-click and drag.
