ActiveSheet.Buttons.Delete
entered from the immediate window removed the x^&%&^% button !! This problem has occurred several times to me, but occasionally I need to Delete such a button and when I right-click on it NOTHING-Happens. Neither my Worksheet or Workbook is PROTECTED.
