Default excel can't be found

I have ms office 2003 on my pc. Recently, I attempted to go into excel, but
I got a message saying that it is preparing to install. I can not locate my
disk, but I know excel is there. Everyhing else works fine, MS Word,
PowerPoint, Access. If I take the long way around and go to excel.exe in the
office11 file, I can bring it up, but only after I click cancel twice on the
preparing to install tab. Can you please tell me what I can do to correct
this problem.

Thank you
