I received a file with the full names of individuals in each cell in a column
-- i.e. "Fred A. Jones" all in one cell. I would like to sort the names alphabetically by the last name (last word in each cell). Is that possible and if so, how do I do it without going into each cell manually? Thanks. |

A little complicated,
use text to column, target column B check last column of each row for Sr, Jr check 2nd last column of each row for St etc concatenate if necessary copy last column of each row to column J, just in case name is extra long sort column J if results satisfactory, delete columns B to J cheers "Gregory Coin" <Gregory wrote in message ...
