Problem: Dates are returned in cells as 5 digit number. Does not change to

Formatting dates in cells.
Hi
If your 5 digit numbers are Text instead of Numeric, they will not be seen by Excel as a serial day number, and will not be converted to a date format. Check to make sure they are numeric. -- Regards Roger Govier "BMR" wrote in message ... Problem: Dates are returned in cells as 5 digit number. Formatting dates in cells.
The numbers you are looking at might really be text. Look for the ' in front
of them. If so, multiply them by 1, then format them as dates. "BMR" wrote: Problem: Dates are returned in cells as 5 digit number. Does not change to date format when selections are made in cell formatting. What is wrong? |
