Default Locked for editing problem with Excel 2007 beta

I have recently installed Excel 2007. Whenever I try to open one of my
worksheets I am told "File in use - locked for editing by me" although none
of my files are open or were locked by me.

Try deleting/moving any previous versions of personal.xls, book.xlt or
sheet.xlt or anything else in xlStart folder

Thanks Nick - however there is nothing in the xlStart folder. Any other
suggestions?

Stupid though it seems, you have re-booted?

Other things could maybe be a faulting add-in, try un-checking them all in
Office buttonexcel options...add-ins (I'm sorry if this isn't the right
route, it's just I have no O2007 on this machine)

Does it give you the name of the file that is locked?
