All of a sudden when I save my spreadsheet ("save" not "save as") I get a
prompt saying: "The file '.......xls' may have been changed by another user since you last saved it. In that case, what do you O Save a copy O Overwrite Changes Anybody know how I can get rid of this annoying "feature" that suddenly started happening after I bought some new computers and linked them to all to a Storage Server. Thanks !! |

Have a look at this KB Article
"The file may have been changed..." error when you save workbook to network server in Excel 2002 http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?kbid=324491 Myrna Larson also reported that she got this error when opening a workspace (*.xlw) file. Opening the workbooks individually solved the problem.
