I have an Excel file that is 2.87 MB, which doesn't seem too terribly large.
However, when I go to open it, it takes _forever_, so to speak, and ends up locking up most my system sometimes. I have about 36 GB of free space on my hard drive, and am not sure why the file is taking so long to open. Any suggestions? My OS info is as follows: Microsoft Windows 2000 5.00.2195 Service Pack 4 653,296 KB RAM I have Office 2003. The doc is stored on my desktop. I have this problem whether I am running other programs, or not. |
