I would like to have several charts based off of one pivot table. However,
when I change the data in one pivot chart, all the pivot charts change
similarly. Is there to have each chart seperate and distinct from one another
and still be based off of the same pivot table?

No. You'll need a separate pivot table for each chart, if you want them
to have different layouts.
When you create additional pivot tables, you can base them on the first
pivot table.
