Composite Histograms
I have the following data that I want to represent in histogram format.
Jan Feb Mar Budget A 20 22 30 Budget B 8 10 14 Actual A 16 20 32 Actual B 6 6 10 I want to see two stacked bars per month that compare Budgets and Actuals as follows: 20 16 22 20 30 32 8 6 10 6 14 10 J A N F E B M A R The numbers above would then be represented by the stacked bars in corresponding colors. The best I can come up with is four bars per month but that gets cumbersome to read. Any suggestions? Thanks for your help. |

Composite Histograms
A correction on my Question. I meant to say stacked columns, not bars.

Composite Histograms
Very helpful indeed! I had already progressed on my own to the point where I
was able to produce sets of stacked columns. The only problem was that the months along the x-axis didn't line-up as nicely as your solution. Elegant! Thanks very much for the link.
