Default horizontal axis labels

Is there a way to include data in a data table legend without this data
actually plotting on the chart?

Default horizontal axis labels

You could mimic this by including it as a series, but then for the name input
=" "
so that it doesn't appear in the legend, and formatting series line to have
no line or markers.
