Default XL2007: Empty pie chart

I'm teaching a class in XL2007. Several students have reported that the
chart area is blank except for a legend containing only a 1 and a colored box
after selecting a non-adjacent range (e.g., A10:A14,E10:E14) and inserting a
3D pie. They demonstrated this to me in class last night.

The lab computers do NOT have SP1. I was not able to replicate the problem
on the instructor's machine which does have SP1.

Is this an issue known to have been solved in SP1, or is there something
else going on?

Thnx.

George

Apologies for the duplicate post. For both this and the previous post I
received messages saying that some unspecified error caused my post not to
happen. The question remains.

Hi,

I don't have 2007 without SP1, I don't have the problem you describe. You
can look at this site for the things that were fixed.

I had reviewed the changes and not seen anything that appeared to describe
the situation I observed. But then I am not expert in translating Microsoft
to English.

All I can hope for is that I can get the lab computers upgraded.

Thnx.

This post is to recreate an error I get when posting, for support personnel.
