Hi, I'm trying to graph one data series on an X axis against 5 other data
series plotted against a second X axis. The graph only displays 4 data series - if I delete one series and add it again, the 'new' series is displayed but one of the other series is not displayed. Is there a limit on the no. of data series that can be displayed for this chart type? I can see all data series in the source data part of the chart wizard but the chart displays only 4 series....thanks for any advice....DavidC |

Wel, you haven't told us which chart type, or which version of Excel, but
the limit on the number of data series in one chart is 255. I'm not sure what you mean when you say you're "trying to graph one data series on an X axis against 5 other data series plotted against a second X axis." I would expect that for each data series, you have an X axis and a Y axis. If you wish you can choose a secondary Y axis and/or a secondary X axis for one or more of the series. Perhaps you can explain the layout of your data, and what series from the data sheet you are using as the X and Y values for each of your 5 series, and which of them are being displayed on secondary X and/or Y axes? Are you sure that you haven't fixed your axis scale values so that you are trying to plot beyond the range which you can see? -- David Biddulph "DavidC" wrote in message ... David
I hadn't stated which series to plot on which axis, clarifyng what to put on the secondary axis worked. I normally find the answers I'm looking for in existing posts without having to write a post, thanks for taking your time on this...DavidC "David Biddulph" wrote: Wel, you haven't told us which chart type, or which version of Excel, but the limit on the number of data series in one chart is 255.
