x-axis labelling - how to put it above the axis?
Ive got a bar chart which is mostly negative values, i.e. underneath the
x-axis. However, the x-axis labels are also underneath the axis, so therefore sitting over the bars. I want to be able to put them above the axis (which is what Id do if I were drawing it myself) but I cant work out how to do it. One would have thought it would have been a fairly simple option, but Ive searched everywhere and cant find it! I'm using Excel 97 by the way. Many thanks. |

Double click the x axis to bring up the format dialog.

Yes, but 'Set axis labels to Low' is not an option. :(
Thanks anyway. "Andy Pope" wrote: Double click the x axis to bring up the format dialog. Cheers Andy Got new job wrote: Thanks, but where do I do that? Under format axis? Follow the instructions, and view the picture at the link Andy provided
earlier: http://www.andypope.info/tips/tip002.htm Under Tick Mark Labels, select Low. The settings are the same in Excel 97. Found it this morning. I actually want 'high', not 'low'.
Thanks for your help.
