Default Cells Won't Highlight when selected

Using Excel 2007: Until today, whenever I use Control + Drag to select
cells, they would highlight (background of cell changes color) to indicate
which cells I selected. Now I don't see any highlight. Excel Help, has not
been helpful. What feature have I turned on or off and how do I restore it?

Default Cells Won't Highlight when selected

Hi,

All I can say is that the highlighted range is very light in 2007 when you
are using the Ctrl key and the outside border doesn't show which makes it
more difficult. There are windows default settings which can be changed but
that will impact other applications.

My question here is that it sounds like it has been working in 2007 in a
manner satisfactorily in the past but not now. To that I have no answer.

Default Cells Won't Highlight when selected

I found a post from last year that mentioned the monitor setting being a
factor. I adjusted my monitor to a dimmer level and am now barely able to
see the highlighting. The default settings you mentioned are for windows in
general? Do you know of a setting for the highlight color in Excel
specifically?
