Default change highlight colour of selected cells

this must be really simple .... I have changed from excel2000 to 2003 (in
WindowsXP). When I select cells they would previously show blue, but now
they hardly change colour so I cannot see what I have selected. How do I
change the highlight colour back to blue (or any colour which shows up!)
Would really appreciate help!! Thanks
